Amelia advises clients in all IP matters, assists them in securing IP protection and in enforcing their IP rights, and provides IP transaction support for business sales and acquisitions.  She has worked closely with a global network of foreign IP associates in preparing and prosecuting patent and trade-mark applications in Canada and other major jurisdictions.  She has also represented clients before the Trademark Opposition Board, and has provided extensive litigation support in several pharmaceutical and technology-related patent trials before the Federal Court of Canada.

Amelia has held numerous senior global corporate leadership positions in the high-tech sector; and has successfully delivered large-scale telecommunications products, IT/IS infrastructure and services, data warehousing and business software solutions.  She has led the end-to-end inception and execution of these multi-million  dollar programs with her global multi-disciplinary teams, encompassing customer engagements, business development and business planning, offshore contractual/partnership management, program/project/release management and delivery, outsourcing initiatives, workforce management, R&D of both software and hardware, manufacturing and operations, product trial management, system deployment, and global customer care & support.
